Jaipur and the wider Rajasthan wedding circuit is built on heritage architecture — palace forecourts, haveli façades and fort walls. Those surfaces are the reason façade projection mapping works so well here: the building itself becomes the screen, and guests see a structure they have been looking at all evening suddenly come alive.
This is how EventsMapping7X approaches a royal façade show, from the first site visit to the final blackout. Every project is quoted after a recce, because throw distance and projection area decide the projector count more than anything else.
The creative concept
A palace show is written in acts. It usually opens with the façade dissolving into stone and light, moves through Rajasthani jaali and floral motifs mapped onto the real arches, then turns personal — the couple's love story, names and monogram — before a colour-rich finale timed to the entry or the first beat of the music.
How the project is executed

Venue survey & site recce
We study the palace façade in person and on drawings — total width and height, jharokhas, domes, arches, carvings, throw distance, projector placement points, power availability and ambient light from the venue's own décor lighting.

3D modelling of the façade
The elevation is rebuilt as an accurate 3D model so every animation is designed against the real architecture. This is what makes light appear to peel stone, open windows or bloom flowers exactly along the building's own lines.

Custom content design
Nothing is templated. Rajasthani motifs, the couple's story, family crests, wedding theme colours and sponsor or festival branding are animated frame by frame for that one façade.

Projector stacking & blending
Large heritage façades need multiple high-lumen projectors edge-blended and warped together, calibrated after sunset so brightness holds across the full elevation.

Rehearsal & show-day execution
Full technical rehearsal, cue sheet locked with the anchor or choreography team, and a supervised live show with backup media servers on standby.
Technical challenges we plan for
Uneven heritage surfaces
Carved sandstone, projecting balconies and recessed arches distort a flat video. Mapping to a 3D model of the façade keeps every element aligned.
Ambient and décor lighting
Existing venue up-lighting fights the projection. We plan a lighting-dim cue with the venue team so contrast stays cinematic during the show window.
Limited projector positions
Palace courtyards restrict throw distance and sightlines. Placement, lens choice and stacking are decided during the recce, not on show day.
Tight wedding timelines
Setup usually happens between other functions. Pre-built content plus on-site calibration keeps the load-in window short.
